Sn74hc595n arduino

Serial to Parallel Shifting-Out with a 74HC595. At sometime or another you may run out of pins on your Arduino board and need to extend it with shift registers. This example is based on the 74HC595.


The datasheet refers to the 74HC5as an 8-bit serial-in, serial or parallel-out shift register . Recently I started project that uses 74HC5shift register. So I wondered what is the most efficient way to transfer data to it.

As 74HC5utilizes serial. This is my first instructable, hope you will like it. I have been playing around with LEDs for a while and I realized that I am pretty much limited with Arduino pins and can not make huge projects which requires a lot of pins.
