Futaba servo motor

Servo motors are great devices that can turn to a specified position. Hitec and Futaba are the leading RC servo manufacturers. The position of the motor can be controlled very precisely which makes it great for steering remote control vehicles and robots.


Unlike a standard motor a servo requires a signal to tell. This robot has servo motors that can express various human-like motions. Figure shows its appearance, and Table .

The Parallax Continuous Rotation Servo is ideal for robotics and basic movement projects. It is designed for continuous rotation and is easily interfaced with any Parallax microcontroller. Internally, the servo contains a DC drive motor (seen on the left in figure above), a built-in driver, control circuitry, and a gear reduction system. If the signal is stopped the servo will lose its position. This is called Pulse Width Modulation, often shortened to PWM.
